The Challenge
The client aimed to pioneer a modern Data Mesh strategy for its North American operations. This required moving beyond traditional data management to create a truly democratized data environment where business users could easily discover, access, and consume trusted data, thereby accelerating innovation and informed decision-making across the enterprise.

Project:
North American Data Governance and Marketplace Implementation
The client initiated a landmark program, marking one of the first large-scale North American implementations of Informatica's CDGC suite. This comprehensive initiative was driven by dedicated teams focused on three core pillars:
- Foundational Governance: Implementing Informatica CDGC to establish the groundwork for robust data governance, starting with the successful integration of the first key domain and business unit.
- Enterprise Data Quality: Executing a large-scale deployment of Informatica CDQ across North America to enhance the quality and reliability of data organization-wide.
- Data Democratization: Launching the Informatica Data Marketplace to create a centralized, self-service platform for data sharing and consumption, fostering a culture of data literacy and empowerment.
- Innovation Pilot: A forward-thinking pilot was also included to establish a "Data-Quality-as-a-Service" model, aimed at improving the usability and scalability of data quality services.
Results & Benefits:
The project was a definitive success, setting a new benchmark for data governance and quality management within the client's US operations. The seamless integration of the Data Marketplace with a governed and high-quality data foundation created a truly democratized data environment. Stakeholders are now empowered to leverage accurate and relevant data on demand, directly fostering a culture of innovation and data-driven excellence.
