The Challenge
The client’s massive scale led to a complex and fragmented data landscape where inconsistent data definitions and a lack of clear ownership created significant barriers. This prevented the organization from establishing a single, trusted source of truth, hindering its ability to perform reliable enterprise-level analytics and make cohesive, data-driven decisions.

Project:
Enterprise Data Governance Program Implementation
The client launched a strategic program to establish a formal Data Governance framework, creating a unified and reliable data ecosystem on the cloud. This initiative was driven by a cross-functional team of data architects, business analysts, data engineers, and governance specialists who leveraged Informatica's Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) to:
- Define universal data standards, establish business glossaries, and map policies to critical data assets using Informatica's Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC) service.
- Automatically scan, discover, and catalog data assets from across the hybrid enterprise landscape to create a unified data intelligence repository.
- Engineer and deploy a robust data quality framework with Informatica's Cloud Data Quality (CDQ) to continuously profile, monitor, and scorecard critical enterprise data.
- Align business and technology stakeholders on critical data definitions and use cases, providing them with a collaborative, self-service platform for data discovery and literacy.
Results & Benefits:
The program successfully established a governed data foundation, creating a single source of truth for critical business information. This enhanced trust in data across the enterprise and broke down functional silos. By providing reliable, high-quality data, the project directly empowered the client’s analytics teams, improved the accuracy of business intelligence, and enabled leadership to make faster, more confident strategic decisions.
